Today

Well today is just another ordinary day where I am up at 5 and watching on demand while I work. On my list today is creating a layout for a clients who needed her pictures around, a CD for Kim, work on Jessie's quilt, mop & of course do laundry. I need to start working on the house to rearrange & continue my simplifing. So enjoying my 6 month do nothing but enjoy the ordinary!

Wow here we are again...

Here we are again at the 1st full day of school. How does time fly so fast. My house is too quiet and lonely. I truly hate whn my children go back to school. I am not sure it if is the empty house or the fact that they are gone so much during this time that there are so many othe rinflueces and there is so little time that we are together. Maybe it is the reminder that they are not truly mine but they are God's and I can only do so much to hle them near to me. The whole thing I remind myself is that we com in this world alone and we go out alone, so make the connections that you want while you are here. It's not about the possessions but about the connections.
What is my memory from today that I want?

360 Days of Giving

Today I went and had lunch with my mom who comes to Grand Rapids every Wednesday but usually doesn't have anyone to have lunch with.

Wrote 2 thank you's, one to my mom to thank her for the beautiful handmade, heart filled gifts she makes for Christmas.

Helped my daughter write a thank you note to her teacher for her handmade gift. She told her that she makes handmade gifts every year and that is the first written thank you she has ever gotten.

Called my friend on this day when she lost her daughter 10 years ago. She was very heavy on my heart and I finally listened and was reminded why.

364 Days of Giving

Today I started with texting 6 people
1 Timothy 6:12 "Fight the good figth for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses"

I received an amazing gift on New Year's Eve from my Aunt it is a set of old journals that were my Great Grandmother's. These journals are a part of her life from 1938 on. She lived 1869 to 1969. I have been entertained and amazed to read the life that she lived. This is my father's grandmother so it has uncovered some questions which I had too. With this gift I have been reminded of the uniqueness we all hold with our hand writings. We have lost the art of writing notes or letters with the technology that we have in our hands every moment. So lastly and it is only 10am so I might have more later :), I wrote a note of encouragment to send to my sister in law with these words:

"Don't wait for something big to occur. Start where you are, with what you have and that will always lead you to something greater."
